Why do we do it?

Relocate your company to the Leaside Business Centre - 0845 262 0846

The Lower Lea Valley has been blighted for decades by post-industrial dereliction. People living in the neighbourhoods alongside it have suffered from the consequences of this in terms of their health, education, safety and prosperity.

Major opportunities are now presented in east London by the London 2012 Olympics, accelerating growth of Canary Wharf and by exciting new developments at the Royal Docks and Stratford City. We are determined to weave the Lower Lea Valley and its communities into these major developments and to equip local people to lead and to benefit from the regeneration of East London.

Our vision is that the Lower Lea Valley becomes home to a thriving and prosperous network of communities integrated with the surrounding renaissance in the East London economy.

The purpose of Leaside Regeneration Limited is to be a driver and catalyst for urban regeneration in the east of Tower Hamlets and the Lower Lea Valley, by developing and promoting the local economy and the physical and social fabric. The Company aims to achieve this by harnessing the creative energies and resources of public, private and community organisations and of local people.

The Company aims to use the arts, community celebrations and other means to promote the practical involvement of local people in physical regeneration programmes in ways that contribute to community and economic development and neighbourhood renewal.
