The proposal to construct an opening pedestrian and cycle bridge linking the north side of the Leamouth Peninsula with the Limmo site is a key infrastructure project that could bring forward early  development of the Peninsula. The bridge connects Newham to Tower Hamlets and was granted planning permission in 2005.
