A key purpose of Enterprising Initiatives Team has
been to develop the local communities’ capacity
to ensure that both they and the organisations within
which they work or volunteer are given the best opportunity
to access the different components of Enterprising Initiatives
funding. Community groups have been given one to one
support, in writing funding applications, finding match
funding and developing partnerships. This has led to
the successful appraisal of projects and ultimately
the success of the objectives of the SRB6 Programme.
Groups and individuals are also given on-going training
and advice on monitoring and record keeping so that
they have the capacity to deliver their projects. This
part of the Enterprising Initiatives team’s work
has absorbed most of their time but has been by far
the most important work they have carried out.
