Action For Bow Summer & Autumn Activities funding 2009
We have had a very busy Summer and Autumn funding rounds, we recieved a total of 70 applications of which 35 were approved.
The projects range from Summer Holiday clubs, to a project based around the history of Bow, there are sports projects including table tennis and gymnasium based activities to a project of a more unusual nature that involves taking young Somali people on a visit to a farm in Wales in order to introduce them to farming practices of their homeland. The summer projects are short term summer activities lasting for a maximum of 6 weeks while the Autumn projects are longer term to benefit local communities and last for up to a year.
We are hoping to have another Summer funding round in May 2010 for small summer grants, maximum of £3,000. There will also be an Autumn finding round in September 2010 for medium grants of a maximum of £10,000. Details will advertised closer to the time.
